HONDURAS LA TORERA
A small village nestled in the epic mountain rages in the La Union area of Copan, Honduras, this beautiful blend comes from a variety of farmers who all work together to produce a creamy cup of perfection.
With altitudes ranging from 1,500m to 1,600m above sea level, the main varieties grown are Catuai, Parainema, IHCAFE 90 & Lempira. The area has an ideal climate for growing coffee due the micro-climates that the mountain ranges provide, & the cool night time temperatures prolong the maturation of the coffee cherries, so the soils are rich with a depth of nutrients.
This delectable festive blend was made up of coffee from various small producers, who each own around 3 to 5 hectares of land. Picked by the producers and their families themselves, the beans are then processed at a centralised mill before being dried on raised beds & then brought together to make a harmonious family of cherries, ready for roasting.
